“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” This is a line President John F Kennedy was scheduled to deliver in Texas, and it speaks to the core of this month’s Homie Highlight and Texas resident, Stacy G. London, CMC.

Recognizing the importance of education in developing leadership qualities, Stacy graduated from the University of Texas and obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. She now holds the highest professional mortgage industry designation, the ‘CMC’ certified mortgage consultant. Her constant desire to learn has established a resounding leadership quality needed for a Regional Manager. She explains, “Positivity and empathy attain far greater results in our daily lives of email and phone. Sometimes that means taking an extra moment to breathe before replying.”

Stacy joined HFG in October 2017 and along with Chris Viviano oversees our Mountain Central Sales Region. Based out of our Houston office, Stacy’s inquisitive daily approach keeps her always moving forward. “Being a ‘why’ person, I try to understand everything behind the ‘what’,” she says. Her vast knowledge led to being appointed as Chairman of the Finance Commission of Texas in February of 2016, which oversees Texas banks, savings institutions, mortgage lending, and consumer finance entities. “Building relationships by educating clients is my longstanding ‘sales’ personality. I always take extra time to briefly explain subject matter for our client’s benefit.” This same approach is used in directing a large sales team: “Problem-solving issues outside my comfort zone benefits me by expanding my knowledge. Being positive-minded in embracing challenge, change, and adversity helps me grow.” In an ever-changing industry, we applaud the way she goes about managing each day.

Pointing out some of our core values, she says, “This company places great value on its employees, its greatest asset. Homeowners Financial Group does an excellent job of recognizing strengths and applying them. Adding value is being surrounded by a deep bench of seasoned professionals. Feeling appreciated, I do way more than simply what’s expected.” This drive keeps Stacy very busy, but she recognizes the importance of community and giving back. “Our grand opening event included a silent auction for our local charity: Periwinkle Foundation. Our friends and fellow Homies supported our auction by purchasing all the items from a silent auction. Most deeply gratifying was Periwinkle’s letter, a proud Homie moment.” We are so proud to support Stacy and all our local community organizations. Keep up the great work!

Stacy is married to husband Robert and very proud of their grown son Jeremy who love to spoil their two rescue dogs Fefe and Forest. As a family, they thoroughly enjoy and routinely travel to attend live music events. Stacy explains, “Seeing a live performance is a transformative and energizing experience. Whether a singer/songwriter or legendary rock, blues or soul band, I’m all in.” Stacy is also an avid Houston Rockets fan, having season tickets for 25 years.

In reflection of the past and looking to the future Stacy states, “I have learned so much more than anticipated since joining Homeowners a year ago, and it will be most interesting to see where I am a year from now!” We look forward to supporting you and the growth of your Region.
