Homie Highlight: Brian Esposito

Those familiar with our organization know that we call ourselves ‘Homies.’ A play off the Homeowners Financial Group name, it is also an endearing term that personifies what it means to be an employee at HFG. This month’s Highlight is a true reflection of that and someone we are proud to call our Homie.

Brian Esposito joined HFG, and the mortgage business, in December 2016 as a Licensed Mortgage Professional. When asked about changing industries Brian simply replied, “I don’t always follow the easiest path, but I love the journey.” Speaking of his journey, “It was a massive leap of faith, but in my heart I believed that it was a perfect move. Throughout those beginning months, I went through the hardest blows of my life when I lost my Mom in April of 2017. It was during that difficult time when being a Homie reinforced that I made a great decision and was surrounded by great people who truly cared about me.” For those who may not know Brian, HFG just reciprocated the passion and care that he brings to people’s lives each and every day.

Through his dedication to becoming successful in this business, Brian was recently promoted to Branch Manager of the Las Vegas, NV office. In typical fashion, he credits those around him, saying, “I learned so much that first year. My ability to grow is a direct result of the leadership that I’m given.” Brian works extremely hard mastering his craft, but his true passion is the charity that he and wife Lanna founded in 2005. Par for the Cure was created after the diagnoses of his mother and Warrior JoAnn. Through events like an annual golf tournament, the charity has raised over $1,300,000 for Breast Cancer research. We truly commend you and your family’s efforts in changing the lives of those around you.

When Brian is not overseeing the day to day operation of the branch, he and his family like to sneak away for as many lazy days as they can. His girls Sasha (7) and Simone (5) love the trips to the beach, and Brian and Lanna just sit in the sun and enjoy watching them grow up. This balancing act is not always easy but something both Brian and Homeowners Financial Group value heavily. In his view, “As I get more exposure to other companies in our industry, it’s becoming clearer that we are truly leaders in every category. Being a valued person is definitely a big one.”

Never settling, he adds, “I’m still nowhere near where I want to be from a production standpoint, but I am exactly where I want to be from life choice standpoint.” We were lucky to have Brian Esposito join the organization and look forward to helping you grow your business as well as all your charitable activities in the community.
The three words that best describe Brian are: Work Life Balance.
